Welcome to Exploring Culinary II Spring Semester!

I am so excited to be starting this new semester, and to see so many familiar faces back in my classroom. Welcome to all! As in Exploring Culinary I this class will be one that will require you to work hard, but also have fun!!

Today we saw a video and completed a handout on food safety and students worked on a couple of puzzles on food and kitchen safety. These handouts should serve as review sheets for the upcoming Safety Test on Friday, 1/17/14. For those of you who did not complete the puzzles, here is a link with information from the text that should help them complete the puzzles. Text link.

On Friday 1/17/14, please turn in you signed Parent Letter from the course outline, the Video Handout, and the completed puzzles. You will take the Safety Test, and then we will cook!! French Toast!!

*****Also, to get started this semester - I want you to comment on the following question:*****

What is the difference between cooking and baking and which process do you prefer doing in the kitchen?

Please keep in mind that comments will not post immediately. All comments are screened before being posted, by me. In order to earn Full Credit on this assignment, not only do you need to make a comment on this question, but you will need to read all other comments and comment on at least one other student's comments.
